Hello

wht is the last date for filing annual return for fy 19-20 fr normal tax payer with less thn 1.5 cr turnover???

The due date to file Annual Return ( FORM GSTR-9 ) for the F.Y. 2019-20 is as of now "31st December 2020 ( 31/12/2020 )" which is as per the Provision of Section 44(1) of the CGST Act 2017. It might get extended since the due date for filing GSTR-9 for FY 2018-19 has been extended to 31st October 2020.

Moreover filing of Annual Return for the FY 2019-20 has been made "OPTIONAL" for the taxpayers having Aggregate Turnover upto Rs. 2 crores vide Notification No. 77/2020 - Central Tax, dated 15th October 2020.

Since your Aggregate Turnover is less than Rs. 1.5 crores, it is Optional for you to file GSTR-9 for FY 2019-20.

Thanks, Shivam! Is there any link where I can read about the outcomes of the GST meeting held on 15 oct for normal taxpayers? Heard there have been some changes in filing dates of GSTR1 and 3B from Jan 21 onwards.

Sir no GST Council Meeting was held on 15th October 2020. Several new Notifications were issued by CBIC on 15th October 2020 with respect to changes in Annual Return filing, notified the due dates for GST Returns etc.

The Central Government vide Notification No. 74/2020, Notification No. 75/2020, and Notification No. 76/2020 - Central Tax, all dated 15th October 2020 has notified the due dates for filing of FORM GSTR-1 & FORM GSTR-3B for the months of October, 2020 to March, 2021.
