yes it is taxable in the year you receive 1st installment or full compensation

NO IT IS NOT TAXABLE . PLESASE REFER NOTIFICATION 36/2016 INCOME TAX . IT IS TAX FREE FOR LAND ACQUISITION

PLEASE SIMPLY GOOGLE YOU GET INFO . CIRCULAR DATED 26 OCT 16 CLARIFIES ALL LAND ACQUISITION AS NON TAXABLE
