Cash subsidy will be provided to people below poverty line for Kerosine,Fertilizers & LPG – BRILLIANT MOVE BUT DEPENDS A LOT ON APPLICATION

It is to be noted that subsidy will be provided only to people below poverty level (which was there earlier also). it means the  common people (aam aadmi) will have to pay rs 700/- (approx) fora lpg cylinder which earlier was rs 350/-(Approx). Which means double burden...So Thumbs downnnnn

Regarding the exemption to file a self-return for the only salaried persons is good move for the salaried people as the budget says that it is the responsibility of the company employing them. I mean it will reduce the floatation cost of the tax revenue as the company will deduct the TDS in time and deposit in the central govt account directly unlike individual returns, where it takes a long time for the assessee in assessing and paying the tax. But, it would have been better if the exemption is provided for ITR 1 filers instead of only salaried income assessees.
