Just Scrap It!!!

i strongly agree with u dhaval....we are seeing so many posts who are unreasonable...i will do as u r suggesting....but tell me one thing yar there are so many talks on this points i had also raise this point some time earlier ...even sneha also raised it...and i read so many posts relating to this ...but no action has been taken by admins yet...am disappointed by this ....waiting for a serious action by admins...keep it up....

So if you agree with scrapping of points being implemented then please leave a comment on this post..so that we can take this to the Admin then.. Also I request the Admin not to close this post down..

In my opinion also the point and thanks system should b removed...This syatem making all the problem in CCI..The members who wish to help others will help even after there is no such system..so plz remove this..

I am not just going to agree over here to sound good. Realisticly in my view Point system should be their...But points should be awarded on merit. A new person joins he/she has 20 points. A person who has replied 8000 queries has same no of points. Does not sound good. Point system is there to show the Top contributors of the club., No of queries replied to show the Top experts of the club. But as it is points /No of Replies always does not reflect the true contribution. This is because an expert who writes the whole reply gets 3 points and if someone comes and replies as agreed with expert (Which i also did by watching some fellow experts at the begining) also gets 3 points. A member who posts jokes in forum gets 4 points and a person who shares very useful notes also gets 4 points. Is it fair? No its not. Points should be awarded on merit. Points shold be given for quality and not quantity. As regards thanks aspects its also in our hands. We should give thanks to very deserving posts only. But in practice what we do, we give thanks even to comments. Say if somebody appreciate your post you give thanks. Dhaval you do this to and sometimes me too. That is the prime reason the value of thanks has diminished. Traet this as your vote of confidence and use it very carefully. If a top member posts something it does not mean thanks has to be given. But what we do? A new member posts a good topic, we rarely comment and if a top member say me post anything which is lesser compared to the post of that new member, you all keep prasing and flood the post with good comments. This system need to be corrected. Who can correct this? You all...Aap sudhro yea faltu post karne wale sabhi sudhrenge.....

No offence....but there have been instances where a member was begging for a 2.5 k worth Ipod...People like me , Dhaval and many others read it.....are these kinda people here for ipods or to help students....this sort of an attitude will bring disrepute to this elite platform....As long as the IPOD prize system exists , we might get to see more and more begging in the months to come...i personally feel point system should be scrapped and no more ipods , mugs , t shirts....

I saw that too, Anil....Gifts should be scrapped....But as far as points system i think some modifications are required not scrapping it. But no problems we all have our views...
