Joining CS is never going to affect you CA studies for following reaons:

1. ICSI conducts examinaiton in December and June i.e each year twice. whereas ICAI exams are in MAY & NOV. So no Clash

2. ICSI exams are in continous days, I mean no DAYS GAP as you get in ICAI. It is a positive sign since you can take limited leave for you cs exam. No excess leave

3. The question pattern is easy, you will find true false, fill in the blanks, 140 Marks question paper(40 optional) and the checking is also not so strict as compare to CA exams. comparatibly Easy grab it. ( This is my personal view).

4. Addition of CS degree in your profile will be always a advantage. Get it Early.

5. You can always focus on you CA studies, just appear CS group wise and study for 15 days including exam days. focus on CA continues .

5 Last but not the lease is, it is a great course will give you vast knowledge of various subjects.
