I purchased J B Gupta lectures, a very good faculty, his DVDs require following technical requirements.

The problem is i have only 1.87GHz processor and it asks for 2GHz and I have windows 2007 and it asks for vista or XP.
Do u think the DVD will run well because once installed cant be used in any other PC.

System Requirements & Other Issues
* PC Processor 2GHz and above
* Operating System : Window XP/Window Vista
* RAM : 1 GB (Recommended 2GB and above)
* DVD Drive : 8X (Recommended 12X and above)
* Minimum free Hand drive space required : 500 MB
* Resolution : Best viewed at 1024 by 768 pixels
* The DVDs shall expire with 2 years from the date of activitation
* The DVDs shall work only on the System in which it is first installed
* Contents of DVDs can be bst understood with Taxmann's Strategic Financial Management by J.B

1.86 GHz processor ... No problem. You can run these DVDs on windows 7 (not 2007 as no such windows exists).

ok but it specifically asks for windows XP/vista..

and its going to be a .flv file.

.avi file works in my VLC player.

Which software will be needed for .flv?

@ Disha.............You can install these DVDs on unlimited number of computers and can be used for first 20 day of tryout time before it ask you for key to extend the period to 2 years........

The seller in the book store said that it can be used in only 1 PC.

I have written all the system requirements also which were written on the cover of the DVDs...

Yesterday the helpline number was not working, I will try calling them again today.

Disha.............I have already having these dvds and installed on my laptop and desktop simultaneously lectures were available for first 20 days on both system once 20 days period expired it asked me for the key on both system. I finally decided to extend the period on my laptop by inserting the key and activating it online...

I am having windows 7 installed on my laptop.. I m running those DVDs without any problm. For your kind info windows vista and windows 7 offer same compatibility.

Kind Attn : Disha, Rahul, Abhinav and anybody who has the right info.

I am about to buy the dvd'd n text of J B gupta sir (sfm - ca final) but have a few queries:

I have an old Pentium 4 - CPU 2.80GHz - 256Mb RAM - Windows XP.

BSNL broadband internet is slightly slow while working online due to low RAM. On my desktop videos in any format play absolutely fine.

1) Will the dvd's run on my computer ?

2) Do i need internet all the time to run the lectures ?

3) If the videos can be played offline after registering my pc online, then cant i make a copy and watch on my mobile too which plays .flv files ?

Plz reply guys as time is running out.

Cant say whether your system is strong enough to run dvds better contact taxamann helpline no... You can run those dvds without internet, internet is required at th time of activation only. Lastly you cant play those lactures on mobile phone.
