Itr2 validation errors

I am also facing same problem while validating itr2. Not finding a solution yet. Probably an problem in the utility itself. Moreover no section B3 is visible under schedule salary.

The following solution has worked for me.

Go to schedule "salary"

Click on item 3 for exempt allowances. There will be lot of allowances along with check box on left. Most likely, many item will have zero value. Click on these check boxes and delete these except those where you have received genuine exempt allowances.

Again validate. All errors related to exempt allowances would get eliminated.

My son is Non-Resident.  His NRO account is pre-validated. when preparing the tax return in ITR 2 , error message comes as Defect A , type of account, Please tell me how to resolve it.

There are no failed accounts in the Bank account in the income tax portal.

Will really appreciate if i get help in resolving the issue.

Pl select all the allowance n then delete it

ITR2 of online is not properly working. It is hanging always after entering the inputs of investment details.......

yes it worked. All dropdowns clicked and deleted.

In Bank accounts get all SB accounts listed or validated and ensure one of the accounts validated for refund.

Remove all failed accounts from the bank account and only validated or pending validation should remain.

This will definitely eliminate your type of account error in the validation process.

I first check for compatibility between the utility version and the current version of the ITR-2 form

I have filed my ITR-2 online myself (not a CA/ tax pro) and overcome a few validation errors, After I see the preview of the return and want to upload the return, I get a upload error. 

Upload Level Validation ITR2 SI. No 1
Error Descripttion
[#/ITR/ITR2/ScheduleESOP/DPIITRegNo: string does not match pattern DIPP[0-9]{3,5}, #/ITR/ITR2/Schedule ESOP/PanofStartUp: string does not match pattern [A-Z]{5}[0-9]{4}[A-Z]]

It looks to be an error pertaining to the ESOP page. I have removed that schedule from the return, as it does not pertain to me. 
Has anyone else faced this problem ? Please advise.

You all must realize that many persons RETIRED after getting huge ESOPs [ many sheep, the retail investors helped in this].

For example, Mr Narayana Murthy's driver had got ESOPs valued more than 80 Crore rupees !!

So do not cry about being RETIRED and being forced to fill up ESOP schedule in ITR-2.

Following is the solution to your problem:-

Put ESOP value as 0 [ meaning numerical zero]

For the Employer PAN, put dummy PAN ZZZZZ9999Z

For the Employer DIPP Number , put dummy DIPP99999.

Save, Confirm and Validate ITR-2.
