i filled itr for AY 2017-18 on 23/03/2018 after due date and e verified also but till date my return is not processed by cpc i have given graviance for the same cpc replied that wait till processing.
so my question is that is there any time limit for processing the return.
more than 1.5 year passed after itr filling but till date my return is pending at cpc
what should i do for that because there was refund claim aprox 50000/ -
pl guide me.

time limit is one year from the end of assessment year in which return is filed.
if u filed for 2017 18 during mar 2018 u have time till 31 03 2019
if u filed for 2017 18 during mar 2018 u have time till 31 03 2019
Only 6 months have passed you have filed your ITR.
I have filed on 31/07/2017 it was processed on 10/08/2018. but refund is still pending.
there is no time limit in case of refund .....time limit is given for demand refer sec 143(1) for detail
see whether it is invalid or defective ?
finally i got refund thank you all
good . Still I have to get refund even though I got 143(1) in August last year.
