ITR Filed but did not e-Verfify/Post within 120 days

One of my colleague, forgot to e-Verfify or Post the ITR and 120 days has passed from Date of Filing.

What is to best thing that could be done now?

Please e-verify and submit condonation delay request with the reason

Just go to e-verify now your ITR with Condonation delay request...

Try again to eVerify , it might allow

However, in case there was genuine hardship faced by you due to which you could not verify your ITR on time, then there is a way which can save you from the hassle of filing your return again.

An individual can file a condonation delay request (or accepting and giving reasons explaining why one hasn't verified their ITR) on the income tax e-filing website.

in case request is rejected then you will have to file belated return.
