I purchased goods from a registered party and therefrom I booked my goods for transportation from supplier's place to my place. The supplier gave me proper tax invoice but the transporter who is also registered gave me a bill and collected 5% tax. Whether am eligible to claim Itc on the bill even when he did not gave me tax invoice..? Kindly advice anyone.

No u cant claim itc , but if he is GTA then u are liable to do RCM

In Case of GTA you're liable to GST Under RCM After that you claim Input credit
If he collecting tax from you, then he will liable to issue tax invoice and if transporter is register then u can claim ITC
