Itc on a bill received from transporter

I purchased goods from a registered party and therefrom I booked my goods for transportation from supplier's place to my place. The supplier gave me proper tax invoice but the transporter who is also registered gave me a bill and collected 5% tax. Whether am eligible to claim Itc on the bill even when he did not gave me tax invoice..? Kindly advice anyone.
