ITC claimed against local purchases gets validated from the entries in GSTR 2A. But how ITC of IGST claimed against imports is validated since it doesn't appear in GSTR2A?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies how to claim Input Tax Credit (ITC) for IGST on imports. Unlike local purchases, import ITC doesn't appear in GSTR-2A. However, the government validates these claims centrally using the GSTIN on your Bill of Entry. You can confidently claim IGST on imports as the authorities can reconcile it easily.

Import ITC NOT APPEAR IN GST 2A. BUT YOU MUST CLAIM IGST ON IMPORT IN YOUR RETURN. IT'S A CENTRALIZED PROCESS, WHEN YOU DONE A IMPORT YOUR GSTIN NUMBER MENTIONED IN YOUR BILL OF ENTRY. AND GOVT RECONCIL EASILY WHEN HE NEED.
SO NO WORRY ABOUT TAKEN ITC ON IMPORT.

Thanks for clarifying
