ITC / Input 291 views 9 replies

I have purchased a computer for business purpose. Tax invoice issued by supplier on my trade name but my gstin is not mentioned. Can I claim input tax credit in this case?

PS- Supplier is not modifying the invoice to include gstin.

You can claim provided the supplier uploads the invoice details in his GSTR 1 otherwise credit will not appear in your 2A.

If gstin number is not mentioned then u cannot avail credit.

CA sashi kumar is Currect..

CAN SOMEONE CLARIFY WHAT HAPPENS IF 2A AND 2 DO NOT MATCH

2A is shown as and when ur supplier files GSTR1 where as 2 is u have to add ... if there is any mismatch between 2 & 2A supplier details will be taken as final I. e 2A

GSTN no is must  , furthre  you can addd that  invoice in  GSTR2  ,if  supplier  has not  uplodaed  invoice  in GSTR1 , then same should  accept  by  the  supplier  in GSTR 1A  for  ITC.

If I add invoice details in gstr 2, can the supplier reject the same. I have invoice proof of my purchase.

A registered  taxable  person  following  conditions  for ITC

1)  Tax  Invoice  with  GSTN no must

2)  You must  received the Goods or service

3)  The tax  charged  for  that  supply  has actually  been paid  to the  government

4)   furnished the retrun

 Just  confirm  everything  .
