Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a common issue where a supplier hasn't filed bills by the cut-off date, impacting your Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims and GSTR-9/9C filings. If your supplier fails to file within 180 days, you may need to reverse the ITC and potentially issue a credit note. It's crucial to reconcile figures, explain discrepancies in GSTR-9C, and be prepared for departmental notices to avoid interest and penalties.

GSTR-9 8A not consider some of the figures like which you are mentioned in question, credit note figures, import bill of entry as well as RCM ITC .

In this you need to to file GSTR-9 8 para with differences and you need to give reason in 9C about it . And need to get answer ready is department notice come regarding same .

I have not taken Itc til date as he not filed.

Now you cannot avail the ITC .

If your supplier not file the bill with in 180 from closing financial year than tell him to issue credit note for past bill and issue latest bill with past figures.

Itc as per books but party has not shown in returns

You need to reverse ITC with DRC-03 .... As soon as possible if your supplier not filed same bill in 180 days .

If department issue notice regarding this... They charged interest with penalty.
