Hi Friends!
A concen has given a work order to a press for printing certain labels and writing pads. Please clarify whether TDS to be recovered from the payment if VAT is recovered in the bill.

Is TDS provisions applicable if VAT recovered?

There are many case laws which state that printing of labels does not fall under the perview of TDS and especially when the material and all has been brought by the printer
If VAT is charged means physical material is supplied so there is no TDS to be deducted. but if any amount is charged for works contract that is charges for any work done than TDS to be deduct on that amount
