Is TDS is applicable on advances payment to the vendor?

provided that he will provide us the services.
tds will be applicable at the time of any payment in advance or invoice whichever is earlier come into force.

on which amount is tds applicable ,
is it 1,20,000/- or 1,80,000/- per annum

tds is applicable on credit or payment whichever is earlier and payment includes advance payments also. But if u r purchasing some thing then no TDS is applicable .
