Hi, Iam a reseller and my business involves getting orders for website design /development from clients and outsourcing it to my network of tech guys/programmers -

Q1- I want to know Am I liable for service tax or anyother tax?
so far - I have received around 11 lakhs from my clients and I have paid 5lakhs to the tech guys to do the job. Your inputs are highly appreciated.

Q2- If my profits go beyond 9-10 lakhs what is the scenario then-

Yes as you are providing services within India and your services are not specified in Negative list, your sevices are liable for Service Tax i.e. 14% (plus 0.5% SBC & 0.5% KKC).

If you are providing services out of India then your services are not liable for Service tax.

Dear Sir, Whether service Tax would be applicable if a company is providing transportation to students of a private schools in delhi through private school cabs. The transport charge is collected directly by the company and not by the schools. The company is basically the aggregator and provides the service of school transport only to the students and teachers. However separately the company through different cabs and other passenger vehicles provides the service of shared transport or car pooling service. So whether the service tax is applicable to the students and teachers transportation service??? Thanks in Advance
