Sir,

Kindly tell me your origin state of sale and to which state it is moved.  Since north and south indian states have different delivery notes and road permit forms, only based on your updated information, we shall be able to reply.

sir

this  is mukesh from chhattisgarh state, i m involve in the business of trading and material supply to power plant projects or other projects but i dont have C S T NO

SO I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS USE OF CST NO AND WHEN ITS REQUIRED?

AND ONE MORE THING ABOUT WAY BILL WHATS NEED OF WAY BILL

some times I HAVE PURCHASED MATERIAL FROM KALKATTA   in VAT  IS THERE  ANY PROBLEM?

sir

i hv purchase material from kalkata in VAT becouse i dont have CST No Iis there any problem ?

Mr Tiwari,

CST Number is needed to import materials from other states to your state for trading/manufacturing etc.,

The benefit of CST is to avail the concessional rate of levy by the other state supplier in his bill.  That is, if the rate of tax of a particular product is 14.5% or 12.5 % in other state, then the supplier will charge only 2% CST and so, you will be benefited minimum 10.5% tax by issuing C form to the party supplied the material to you.  This  C form has to be obtained from your sales tax circle by paying fees.

Regarding way bill, there are two types.  One is your own state way bill ; for any material received from other state to your state, your sales tax  dept would have prescribed certain waybill (manual or online) like wise the other state supplier will use his own state waybill road permit form for sending the materials to you.  Waybill forms are for movement of goods from one state to another state.

You have purchased material from kolkatta, means, without cst number the party would have charged full vat rate in his bill.  So, for concession, please refer my first para.
