Quick Summary
NSTPI registration generally requires a project report for better approval clarity. Though not always mandatory, it is recommended. A simple report should include business details, services, infrastructure, investment, manpower plan, revenue projections, and compliance information.

While a project report may not be strictly mandatory in all cases, submitting a concise report is advisable for smoother NSTPI/STPI registration approval.

You can prepare a simple structured report like below:

1. Introduction

  • Name of entity
  • Business activity (Software / IT / ITES)
  • Promoters background

2. Business Overview

  • Nature of services (e.g., software development, consulting)
  • Target market (domestic/export)

3. Infrastructure Details

  • Office address
  • IT infrastructure (systems, servers, etc.)

4. Investment Details

  • Capital invested
  • Fixed assets

5. Manpower Plan

  • Current employees
  • Future hiring plan

6. Revenue Projections (3–5 years)

  • Export turnover
  • Domestic turnover (if any)

7. Compliance & Regulatory

  • GST, PAN, IEC (if applicable)

8. Conclusion

  • Business viability & growth plan

thanks for the information!

Thank you for your timely response
