Hi Members,

Please advise on the following query. ITR-4 for AY 2018-19 was filed in Aug. 2018 with Net Income of Rs. 2.75 lacs. Now if ITR is revised in March 2019, will late fee be applicable on it?

Thank you Vishesh Sir. ITR filed in Aug. 2018 is not yet e-verified. So ITR filed in March 2019 will be treated as Revised ITR or Original ITR?

Latest one is considered as revised
Better to E-verify the first one after file Your revised ITR...
no
First one will be e-verify at first then go to file revised ITR...

If not then first one fall under defective return then 2nd one will be automatically "Late ITR / Original ITR. After sec 234F kicked...

So, 1st one will be verify...

The ITR cannot be e-verified before 31st March 2019 as Mobile No. is not updated in Aadhar. The assessee should have send ITR-V to CPC within 120 days of e-filing but missed. On portal, the ITR for AY 2018-19 is showing pending for e-verification and ITR-V is showing as invalid.

You can also use your bank account to e-verify your return

Bank is showing rejected in e-validation through bank.

since your returns are already showing it as invalid, I guess your revised return shall charge you penalty under sec 234F.
file condonation request to e-verify and file revised return
@ Anitya.,

If Your return showing invalid then file Condonation delay request then You can move further action...

If You don't want Condonation delay request then Your revision is not applicable then it will taken as late ITR as original and late fee will applicable...

Once return invalid then no way for filling Revised ITR...

Better to move with Condonation delay request then You can avoid Late Fee...
