Is j.b.gupta dvd's are good for self study...??

If you want to do self study and prepare from DVD's i would suggest go for Rajiv singh, i also did self study by watching his lectures few things to note down

His concepts are all clear but sometime he explain a lot and try to flood student with his practical life knowledge which is good from my point of view becoz thats what we want actually but lots of people want to stick to only whats there in the book..

Dont use his shortcuts for solving question get your concepts clear by watching his lectures and follow ICAI suggested answer or Study material methods..

Madina, in case you have had any doubts till now or in case you are relatively less aware about JB Sir, allow me to brief you on a living legend I take pride in associating my student life with.

By way of introduction, he is a teacher to most of the well known CA curriculum tutors/ teachers of today, and  is himself the renowned faculty for and an authority on Financial Management for CA Final. He has covered all the CA Final examination questions of last 30+ years and if the statement sounds important to you – ‘the entire paper should be prepared from his book’, make no mistake about it. And to lay all your doubts to rest - Brand 'Taxmann' has released his product.

I assure you I myself had just 22 days to prepare for my CA Final (Nov 2008 attempt), and his material even that time was simply a self-study Bible for my MAFA exam. He has modified his material for much better since. I have taught a couple of my friends for MAFA and SFM and let me assure you the results have really been positive in every case.

The best part about JB Sir is – he is ‘always’ available over phone or you can also visit him at his residence in Shalimar Bagh in case of any doubt/ tricky topic. Like I said, his only motto in life is to pass his knowledge and assist as many students as possible.

I completely agree to what siddharth as above written. I took classes from him in year 2008 and passed MAFA exam in one go with 60+ marks. His books and DVD will make you feel like taking actual classes

Besides I must say you will not find teacher like him whose only motive is to impart knowledge to students. He is completely different from today's  businessminded teachers.

He has truely devoted himself for students welfare.   

I fully agree with Siddharth... His books are masterpiece. While reading his books during my final preparation, I felt as if he is standing in front of me and teaching the principles of MAFA.

I would suggest you to go for JB Sir's book.

i want to  really thank dr. j. b. gupta sir for their great effert for changing the trend from coaching to self study nd i also recommend to my ca profession colleges to consult j.b.gupta's sir dvd for ca final sfm. i really want to recomment it to hose students who donot want to invest their parents har eaned money nd their precious time, j.b.gupta's sir book nd dvd is enough for self study. even i donot see such type of dedicated teacher in my ca teaching industry who solve the problems of even outsider,s without a peeny, sir's motive is only to clearify the concepts nd fundas of ca students in sfm subject.

the english language used by the sir is very simple nd a weak in english language person can easily understand them nd learn them. so plz afvaoi me na rahe kud video clip dekhe or decide kare
