Sum incurred by HUf on rehabilitation of a member of the joint family suffering from a permanent physical disability being severe disability for the assessment year 19-20:
A.allowed as deduction of sum of 50,000
b.allowed as deduction of sum of 125000
c. allowed as deduction of sum of 40,000 or actual expenditure whichever is lower

Deduction Under Section 80DDB

Section 80DDB provides that if an individual or an HUF has incurred medical expenses for treatment of specified disease or ailment, such expense is allowed as deduction, subject to such conditions and capped at such amount as specified, under Section 80DDB of Income Tax Act.

Permanent disability covered under section 80dd and the maximum amount allowed as deduction is rs 1.25 lakhs if the disability is 80% or more... 75000 if the percentage is greater than or equal to 40%
