is CPA USA as difficult as CA & minimum passing marks in CPA

Hi...Myself Divya Agarwal. I have done B.Com and CAT course from ICWA. i'm a accounting working professional last 3.5 years.Now i'm planning to do CPA USA. beacuse it will completed within a year besides CA couse will completed in 5 yrs.

But as I m working so i want to know,

is CPA USA difficult to do as CA course and how many marks have to secure in each 4 subject of CPA exam, as in CA course we have to secure minimum 40 makes to each subject and also a aggregate % there.

Can anyone tell me & help me about to do this.

The difficulty of CPA exams depends upon ones knowledge. Hard work requires in both. Although, if you have studied CA subjects then it becomes somewhat easy, but it does not guarantee sucess in CPA.

Further, for passing marks, the CPA exams are Objective type question as well as essay type Questions. The passing Marks are 75%.

If you have done CA then you done have to undergo training in CPA.

NOTHING IS EASY IN LIFE CPA IS SAME CREDENTIAL AS CA IN INDIA BUT IF YOUR BASICS OF ACCOUNTING ARE GOOD U CAN CLEAR IT IN ONE ATTEMPT .......IF U REALLY NEED TO EXCEL IN CPA VISIT BECKER INSTITUTE IN INDIA WHICH IS GOOD AND THE BEST ...AND TAKE CARE OF ALL UR REGISTRATION ....AS ME TOO GOING FOR CPA AND WILL BE STARTING AFTER I GIVE MY CA FINALS IN MAY 11 ...ALL THE BEST ....AND CAN CONTACT ME FOR ANY HELP IN THIS MATTER AS FOR THIS I ROMED VARIOUS PLACES AND FOUND ABOUT IT AND IT IS A GOOD COURSE TO PURSUE

I am commerce graduate & also have attampted CA PE-II but unfortunatly not cleared.I have practical accounting experience & basic accountign knowledge,

is it enough to do this course or i should have to go CWA course.

i'm also want to know more about CBT E Structure in CPA USA , is it a new format pls explain more about it. from when it will effected.

Thax for ur comment...i relay know that nothing is hard or easy in this world. If we decided to do something then have to do it any how. But i want proper guidence about CPA USA course as i'm working account profession so i have to quit job or this course can be done simultenously.or i have to go for another one.

DIVYA I CN UNDERTSAND THAT ME ASLO DOING PRERATION FOR CPA ........U DONT HAVE TO LEAVE JOB THERE IS 2 OPTIONS EIHTER

1 ATTEND WEEKEND CLASSES OF 5HRS EACH ON SAT SUNDAY

2 OR FULLDAY CLASSSES ON SUNDAY AS U WISH

AND THIS WILL BE 4MONTHS CLASSES AND 4 MONTHS SELF STUDY AND THEN U CAN APPEAR FOR THE EXAMS WHICH WILL BE HELP IN US AND CONTACT BECKER INSTITUTE IT IS REALLY GOOD MY BIYA DID FROM THERE AND GOT AWESOME RESULT IS WORKING IN US RIGHT NOW ......AND ITS AREAL GOOD COURSE WEN U HAVE DECIDED DO IT , BUT DO AFTER JAN 11 AS THERE IS GOING TO BE SOME CHNAGES AND IF U JOIN NOW U HAVE TO APPEAR IN NOV , WHICH IS NOT POSSIBLE ..........JOIN IN JANUARY AND SIT FOR EXAM AFETR PREPARIN THROUGHLY

Good decision to go for CPA rather than CA. But u should try to clear cpa in 1 attempt to cut down costs as u can give CPA only in usa.But, isn't 4 year graduation(10+2+4) required for admission to CPA? have u done mcom-1.all the best. why don't u consider ACFE or CFA?

IF U R NOT DOING M.COM THEN EITHER U SHOULD BE IN CA FINAL I.E PASS CA INTER OR ELSE U HAVE TO GIVE AN EXTRA PAPER THAT IS FEDERAL TAX LAWS ..........SO IT IS NOT NCESSARY THTA U HAVE TO GO FOR M.COM .....ITS CONFIRMED AS I HAVE CROSSCHEKED WID AICPA THE BODY REGULATING CPA COURSE AND TALKED TO SEVERAL CPA'S ALSO ...SO PLEASE BE AUTHENTIC IN UR INFO ....ITS NEEDED

Figure out the option CPA one attempt will cost u...Rs 100000-120000 if u appear for all papers together.

u can gor CIMA,CIIA,CIA,CFP,CFA,CIPM,IFRS

there is one accounting course ACCA (UK)... u can do this in India...

Ya i relay know that a graduate can enrol for CPA after giving a pre enterence exam. could u tell me r u doing it & from where u r doing it.
