I too preparing for May 2016 attempt there is a news that there will be change in syllabus. Already syllabus changed with new companies act. But there will be some other changes. I too have the doubt of Whether to start Preparation or not. Lets see for some other replies
Dear 2016 attempters,
I would advise you to start-off with practical subjects where scope of change is minor compared to theory subjects (mainly group-2). Even though there is a lot of time I advise you to go for self-study so as to not waste money on classes & when the portion becomes clearer go for tutions!

My attempt is also on may 2016.......i have already started costing &accounts classes .now i am in confusion that how to proceed further with studies since there are lot of rumors that entire sylabus may chang..

Ya syllabus is undergoing a change from May 16 onwards
Proposed changes are
Introduction of a new paper IFRS 100 marks
ISCA and Audit Combined 100 Marks
Introduction of a new paper International Taxation 100 marks
The changes look pretty gud to keep the institute abreast with the latest develoments happening in finance field

Is this all is true
Some of my professors are in the Institute's committees, board of studies etc. Its not a confirmed change..Such changes are proposed..But syllabus will definitely change, thats for sure.
It is humble requeat too ICAI that plz tell us that what should we do bcoz i am doing self study and i want to start preparation so that i can clear exam as soon as possible sir...

I have started Costing classes recently for May 2016 attempt. Whether a major change would be occur in costing?
Plz provide me some guidence in this matter that should i have to wait for change or to continue my study.
Ahmedabad Mirror newspaper published this news recently that the whole syllabus would be revised and changed from CPT to Final from 2016
