Is benefit of presumptive income available for ITR 3?

ITR 4 form is for income from a presumptive business, but it does not contain any column for capital gain/loss on sale of investment/property. So if one has income from salary and business and capital gain/loss, then he has to file ITR 3 but then he will not be able to avail the benefit of presumptive income. What can we do?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether the benefit of presumptive income is available when filing under ITR 3. While ITR 4 is typically for presumptive business income, it lacks capital gains reporting. The consensus is that presumptive income can indeed be filed using the ITR 3 form, even if you also have capital gains or other income sources. This allows taxpayers to benefit from the presumptive scheme while accurately reporting all their income.

Income under presumptive assessment can be filed under ITR 3.

Income under presumptive scheme can be easily filed thru itr 3.
