Irn mandatory for debit note/credit notre

Dear Sir,

We are raising debit notes for the rejections . whether it is mandatory to raise irn for the debit notes . If irn made it will be reflected in the gstr1. how to remove the same because based on our debit notes the supplier willl raise credit notes and upload in the portal. please advice about this

Yes, Credit note also through e invoice portal... If prepared through e invoice portal then IRN is generated and should be print.
