At IPCC level, you don’t need to remember all the sections and it’s not required to mention the same in the exams.
But, if you can remember the important ones from certain chapters, then it definitely adds more value to the answer and leaves a good impression on the mind of the examiner which does affect the scores, but not much. So, if you’re comfortable, then habituate with them otherwise do not create extra fuss.
Instead of mentioning the section number, you may write, as per the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013. This is not apt for professional exams but passable at intermediate level.
Further, while writing the answers, try to make the answer sheet more readable for the examiner so that it does not put extra strain on his eyes while reading the scrip t. Like, adequate size of handwriting, writing point wise, leaving sufficient space in descrip tive answers etc. Main point is, the reading of scrip t should not be an irritating experience for him.
