hi guys i am IPCC level student. My exams are due in november 2010. i gotta only  five months to crack IPCC, Can i be able to get through IPCC with mere preparation of five months!?. Upto now my preparations are nil. I have started my coachings of first group, from june first. Thinking of doing self study for ITSM, Audit and Law. Could i be able to do self study, for group 2? which refrence books are to be reffered? Nextly, if i go for group one only, will i be able to work in top audit firms, is Both group, single attempt,  a sole criteria  to work in top audit firms? Can i be able to take leave during articleship, for the exams of second group of IPCC? Pls i am confused.....guide me...i have  dream  to do articleship in top  firm, at the same time, as for now,  i just want to focus more on group first only. pls help me to get through this dileema......

yes u cn join top audit firms even if u dn clear g2. coz these firms take a series of interviws unless n until u hv got some approach... n yes there are some leaves allowed.... but leaves basicl depends on ur arrangment with ur employer.

Both Group or Single Group

It depends on your preparation and availability of time along with your capability to handle both group at a time. As per my understanding one should go for single group. My suggestion is not baseless and based on long term professional success and further supported by the following points:

1. By giving one group one can fully concentrate on true and expert examination preparation.

2. By giving one group one can fully utilize his/her time and gain full knowledge of course.

3. According to me group clearance is not the only parameter of success.

4. By giving one group this time one can arrange some time for himself/herself which is very important. Self assessment is also important.

5. Appearance in both group is not a guarantee of success.

These points are based on my personal thinking and helped me a lot in my professional exam preparation and prevent me from failure along with good application of my knowledge.

I personally feel that a reasonable distinction is required to be drawn between quick success and long term professional success with good knowledge.

All the Best

dude u have to go for both group if u want good audit firm

in my view u can't pass in it and sm without tuition

all u have to do is to read for atleast 10 hour a day

there is no need of any refernce book for accounts, cost+fm u can get gold medal by doing only module and scanner

for law just go for munish bhandari

audit-surubhi bansal

it&sm-dinesh madan

taxation-girish ahuja or vk singania if your target is 50-60 then u can also go for vandana bangar. Its my challenge that u cant revise any book on exam day other than bangar. All u need to do is to revise bangar 3 times before exam.Do service tax and vat from bangar only because his book is best for final indirect tax.

for cost and fm,accounts thoery just read solved scanner

for as refer ds rawat

don't forget to do scanner for every subject

if u will follow me then u can also get merit

Important for PCC and IPCC students.

hai friends can i honestly ask u onething... i have a dream of earning not less than 80% marks in all the subjects in ipcc group-1. what all books i have to refer.

I am having the exact same dilemma as you. Mine is worse in fact as I have lesser time now. I think I'll go for one. But one doubt I had is, I had registered for both the groups initially. Now in August we need to fill up our exam forms. In that do we get a choice to choose either one group or both? or would I have to compulsorily write both groups failing which my group 2 would be counted as a failed attempt?
