Mutual fund ELSS scheme is the best option as it allows you exemption under section 80C as well as it gives higher return also. The drawback is that all ELSS mutual funds have 3 years lock in period, but returns are also exceptionally high. DSP blackrock, Axis MF, Bilra Sunlife etc. mutual fund houses' ELSS schemes proffer return up to 20% CAGR. But, you have to remain invested for long-term (minimum 5 years to get decent returns).
