Since the investment is through SIP , you can clearly know the amount invested in different funds as the bank statement reflects the same. Second evidence is the letters served upon the investor which specifies the amount invested in a particular fund. Under Long Term Investments - Investment with government and other securities( Quoted ). The valuation of investment will be at cost since you have assumed it as a long term investment.

As investment is done through SIP, you will have a clear idea of the amount you will need to invest in various funds through bank state statements. Second evidence will be the letters that will be served to you by the mutual fund companies like ICICI Prudential. These letters will specify the amount that has been invested in each fund. In case, you invest in shares of PSUs then, the investment's value will be at cost as it was assumed as long term investment.
