I am an Indian (Private Limited) company that invested in the unlisted shares of a European company in 2016. Now, I am selling those shares at a loss in 2024. Kindly confirm the tax treatment. Also, will I get an indexation benefit? From the loss on this sale, can I set off the gains made in the Indian listed equity—short-term and long-term?
