Intimation under section 143(1) of income tax act, 1961

I have received a letter from the IT department of Chennai requesting to pay an sum of 55k for the assesment year 2011-2012, i'm a salaried person, all my taxes has been deducted at source, not sure why i received this intimation, can anyone suggest me what to do next? the letter doesn't even has a phone number or email id to contact with. Is there any possibility of some proof which i submitted got rejected? I received the form 16 and ITR for the assesment year, i thought its complete.please advice

IN intimation there are 2 mail columns

1st column contains the details as per the assesseee 

2nd column contains the details as department proceesing

find out the where is the difference

if diff in income then rectify same

if credit of tds is not allowed then get the data corrected from the dedcutor

If you have salary as your only source of income, you must check your 26AS of that AY. There is a possibility that the TDS deducted may not be shown to your credit because of error in TDS return on your employer's part.
