Intimation letter to central excise for self sealing

no prior intimation required, as the power of excise inspection and sealing is vested with manufacturer for export cargo of self, ( for clearance through merchant exporter self sealing is not permitted), and you have to submit triplicate and quarduplicate copies of ARE-1 to range superintendent "within 24 hrs of clearance from factory"

Can a merchant exporter not permited to self sealing or factory stuffing. How it can be possible.

the facility of self sealing is permitted for manufacturer exporter only,

CAN FACTORY STUFFING IS PERMITTED FOR MERCHANT EXPORTER.

factory stuffing is nothing but to convey the inspection of export cargo and seal the containers/packages and endorse the ARE-1, so that the goods would not be opened for inspection by customs usually. 

visit your range officer and submit intimation to him for execution of same. 

Dear Sir,

 

We are having manufacturing facility in Uttrakhand and doing direct export from factory. In Uttrakhand we are in Excise free zone. Do we also need to intimate the suptd. for export within 24 hrs. If yes then what all docs we need to submit?
