When TDS is deducted by any Government organisation (here, Nagar Nigam), but it is not deposited by 7th of the next month. Then in such a case is government organisation liable to pay interest on it @ 1.5% ?.

Interest is applicable whether it is Goverment Organisation or it is Private.

They will surely get a Notice u/s 200a for the late payment of tds
