When interest amount paid by a Bank is below rs 40000 and as per rule no tds is deducted whether these details will be reflected in. 26 A S even when there is no tds and whether the banker will issue Form 16 A even when there is no tds but interest paid is below rs 40000 ? Veresham

Yes. Bank are bound to report the interest paid/accrued in each quarter, even though they do not deduct TDS till the exemption limit.

Bank also issue interest certificate which is engough for filing ITR , Their is no need for form 16a ..

Thank you sir. 26 AS. with regards to Union Bank of India is not updated till date.I think it will take time

If no tds is deducted, 26as may not contain such transactions.

Thank you madam
