Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the correct procedure for claiming input tax credit (ITC) under GST. It highlights that ITC should be claimed based on the common entries found in both your business's books and your GSTR-2B, rather than solely relying on GSTR-2B figures. The advice is to compare the two and claim only the ITC that appears in both.

As per 2B I e 56289

@ Rashmi Gandhi mam ,I have a query in inbox ,plse explain me .. your's sincerely sanjay Kumar MPR...

You need to compare your books with GSTR-2B. and then claim whatever is common between your books and GSTR-2B.

There is a misconception that ITC has to be taken as per GSTR-2B.

Only common ITC has to be taken which are coming in both GSTR-2B and books
