Dear Supriya Ji logon to www.aicpa.org for details. There are only four papers and examination is objective type. one can complete his/her CPA in 03 to 06months depending on his/her capacity.

I would also like to pursue CPA but i am confused between CPA & CIMA

Hi Supriya,

I just wanna share some thing that I heard about CPA.  It is Certified Public Accountant. Generally CPA is offered by the state boards in the US.  If you do CPA from here, it costs around $4000.  In India we have good coaching centers at Pune and chennai and they provide good classes for CPA.  Compared to our CA this course (CPA) is very easy and it has only 4 subjects.  You will also have a choice of writing any subject in a single attempt with the criteria that you should score a minimum of 70%.  The information i got is if u put 25% of efforts that you have put for passing CA it could be enough for you to become a Certified Public Accountant.  But for joining in this course some states prefer MBA degree, but Colorado state in the US will accept our CA course as an eligible degree for CPA.  I am also very interested in doing this course.  You can be in touch with me at ramsrch @ gmail.com for any other information that I can help you.

Both the courses are of same value and compared to CIMA the CPA course is somewhat easy as far as i heard about these two courses.
