Whether the income earned by Resident Indian in India via internet on a US website is extempted from tax in India? Not trading, only providing some service.

If not whether it is exempted in the USA as per DTAA with India?

The US like to keep a withholding tax of 30%, but has a DTAA with India.

Kindly inform.

Thank you,

Raj

Dear Raj,

In case of resident, tax is payable on income received /  deemed to be received from outside india even though the source of income is from outside India
