16 July 2014Tax Deducted u/s 192B on 30/04/2014 and deposited on 20/05/2014 along with Interest @ 18% p.a. for 2 months (i.e. from the date of deduction to date of deposit of Tax)
Inspite of that why default notice issued by CPC? Please advise me.

Please check whether interest is properly shown in e-TDS return filed by you.

Dear Sir,
Please check whether interest is also shown in deductee records failing which TRACES system shown demand.

Yes Sir, I have checked and Interest appears in the Deductee Record and in 26AS of the Deductee also.

In that case you have to take up the matter with TRACES - CPC as it seems incorrect ddemand raised by the TRACES.
