Income tax scrutiny..

Efiling 912 views 4 replies

I e-filed the return of one of my clients..the same was processed and refund was determined, however the refund cheque was not delivered becoz the address was incorrect.

Now my client has received a notice from the local Assessing officer for Scrutiny U/s 143(2).

The ITR has not been transfered to the Local Assessing officer by the CPC..

Is he still Capable of Taking a Case in Scrutiny even though the CPC has not tranfered the same to him??

Intimation u/s 143(2) is computer generated it automatically happens in CPC

how do you come to know that ITR has not been transfered to the Local Assessing officer by the CPC

normally this happens when the cse is selected for scrutiny on the basis of AIR...Please assesss that..

taking case for scrutiny is internal specefied norms of deptt....if u received intimation u/s 143(2) it is treated as case of scrutiny..because case for scrutiny taken by Computer system..so it is computer generated intimation
