05 October 2011one of our client has filed belated orignal return then he got a T.D.S. certificate then he filed revised return which is not permissible and the assessing officer deny the claim of refund on that revised return.
please suggest me what to do to obtain the refund

as per my practical view assesse shall file belated return again.......AO can his own discretion may accept this return and can treat the return earlier file as void ab initio....

Mere TDS certificates are received late or the turnover figures also got changed?
if turnover figures got changed then its to be called as "concealment of income"
AO has power to accept the revised return also, provided he is satisfied that nothing changed except the TDS claim, but as per rules its not permitted.

as TDS was deducted, the same had to be reflected under the accounts , when the original return( belated) has been filed. check your return data,
as TDS certificates are not needed to claim the TDS as on now, why the person did not claimed the TDS amount, make a suitable reply to this query then proceed.
you have option to file rectification u/s 154, but make your representation perfect before going for the same.
