What if someone has reported higher income under exempt income as agricultural income while filing ITR inorder to avail bank loan and later on the income tax department has treated such income as income from other sources.As he failed to show sufficient documents regarding agricultural income.How to get rid of the problem....

You HAVE to justify your exempt income to CPC/ITD. If you have sufficient proof of the agricultural income, file appeal.
