Income tax filing

I have failed to file the Income Tax Return for the AY 2012-13. The last date for which was 31st March 2013. I want to file it now, electronically. Please suggest me whether i can file it online or not. If not, then please suggest me some alternative method.

Dear Ruchi,

The last date for filling the ITR for A.Y.2012-13 is 31st March, 2014, hence you can easily file your return online after registering your PAN on income tax website. So dont take tension.

Belated Return {section 139(4)} :Every assesse Can file their belated return with in one year from the end of the assessment year relevant to previous year or before completion of assessment u/s 142(1) . For Financial year 2011-12(ay 2012-13) belated (late) return can be filed by 31.03.2014 (i.e one year from end of assessment year 2012-13 ending 31.03.2013)

A return can be filed within two years from the end of FY.

Also i wanted to ask the same question for AY 2011-12. I think we can't file the return online or we can ?? Else please suggest me the other way out.

ITR for A.Y. 2012-13 can be filed on or before 31st March, 2014..... but for A.Y. 2011-12, it can't be filed now... it's too late now... no other way....

pls help me i have filled my uncle return for the a.y 2012-13 in which i claim the tds of rs.90,200 on 31st march,2013 at night 11.59 p.m but due to the slow of server it takes some time for processing and finally income tax site show that return was fill successfully at 00.00.05. so the return was filled in the a.y or otherwise in the next assessment year of the relevent asessment year.
