instead of showing the property as let out for the year can I show it as vacant for 12 months ?Will i be able to save tax ?

If you have more than one house property then that property/properties will be treated as deemed to be let-out
as per current budget more than 2 properties will be treated as deemed to be let-out
If property in current question is commercial than you can make adjustment
