We want to apply for modification in IEC code because of the change in the name of the Company. I want to ask the following question

1. Whether we would apply by new name or by old name?
2. Bakers certificate should be on new name or by old name?
3. What mandatory documents we need to attach with application?

If any body have done something like that then do reply..........

Dear Ms. Nidhi,

Before filing application with the DGFT for change in IEC certificate with regard to change in name of the company, you will have to get the following amendments done:

For amendment in IEC Certificate, you may require the following documents/informations:

1.   Covering Letter on your company's letter head for amendment in  IEC Code Certificate.

2.    Two copies of the application in prescribed format (Aayaat Niryaat Form ANF 2A) must be submitted to your regional Jt.DGFT Office.

3.    Each individual page of the application has to be signed by the applicant.

4.    Part A, B, C & Part D has to be filled in by the applicant for amendment.

5.    Certified copy of Board Resolution for making application with DGFT for amendment in IEC Code Certificate.

6.    Certified copy of Memorandum of Association along with Form 32 and copy of Challan.

7.    Certified copy of Certificate of Incorporation of the Company including fresh certificate of Incorporation on change of name.

8.    Certificate from the Banker of the applicant company in the format given in Part B of the Application.

Thanks ashwani ji for ur response!

Bt what name we would write in application (new or old one)..................and by which name new or old one) we would take the bankers letter,....

Nidhi

Dear Ms Nidhi,

Once the name of the Company has been changed and the ROC has issued the necessary certificate, then obviously every thing will be done in the new name and not in the old name. Accordingly, before going for amendment of IEC Certificate, you will have to get  your Company's PAN Card and Bank Account amended with the new name which is basis information/documents required for amendment in IEC Certificate.

Best regards
