I am appearing for nov 12 2nd group (final). i want to know whether Study Material issued by icai for Indirect Tax is sufficient? Please reply me.

For DT and IDT, study mat is not recommended.

It is better to avoid study materials for Tax papers as the tax laws are continuously been amended... So pick up a reference book of your choice plus the rtp, supplementary study paper, latest case law book issued by ICAI will be more than sufficient for u to obtain gr8 marks...

Then how will be k vaitheeswaran. I had join Raju Sir class also. But I want to study from book other than by Raju Sir.

for DT is manoharan sufficient?i will b appearing for CA final in NOV 12.............plz reply soon.............what else shud i refer?i hv not taken classes ,i m doing self study..............

t n manoharan is good book. i m preparing from v g gupta module. but i m cofused about idt.

For DT, Manoharan sir's book is good and very extensive in terms of areas covered... bt if u want only for exam related matters and nothing else follow G.Sekar Sir's DT book...

Then for IDT, Yogendra Bangar Sir's book is the most preferred among students... Then comes Vaitheswaran sir's book... One drawback with vaithi sir's book is tat it wil contain a lot of stories about recent and old case laws..... which wil become time consuming durin preparation.... Gist of the recent imp case laws is already available in the ICAI Publication "Recent case laws" which is concise....
