39. Examination Results

(a) A list of candidates declared successful at each examination shall be published

(b) The names of candidates obtaining distinction in the examination shall be indicated in the list

(c) Every candidate shall be individually informed of his result.
The Council may, in its discretion, revise the marks obtained by all candidates or a section of candidates in any particular paper or papers or in the aggregate in such manner as may be considered necessary, for maintaining the standards of pass percentage provided in these Regulations.

( what is this)

Explanation - The term "section" used in this sub regulation refers to the category of the candidates whose answer papers are value by an examiner and such other category of candidates as may be specified by the Council.

They are just amending acts to make students life miserable and hell.

If we have written a good paper which can fetch good marks and after alloting such marks by examiner why the hell icai wants to reduce the marks of students. Thats Bullsh*t. I have to use such bad words because many students suffers due to their these kind of unhuman acts. Students give their everything to get pass in exam and what they get in return. The stupid laws made by pathetic people.

Where did you get this info , esp. point 39(2)from??

whatever may be done.............but what can u expect from the institute where copies of PCC are being checked by PCC students whose result itself is awaited... is this the standard of ICAI...cant say worse but just equivalent to other Local universties

Are you serious? PCC students correct papers??? This is outrageous!!!

hi all...its about slashing ...as we know they have to pass "x" amount of student...so they slash marks from a paper....so maintain that standard.....they selelct a paper from each grup...n reduce particular mark from that paper ofevey student
