what kind of work  an employee incharge of operations does in an office?

According to me, his/her work is to look after the proper execution of the Operation of which he/she is in charge

Depends on the office, type of business carried on, etc....

what if the office type is accounts, finance & tax

Well, then Operations is just a fancy name given to routine ca firm work.... BUt if the office is really large, as in the number of employees, then the scope of operations cannot be predicted. Then the only option is to ask for a complete job profile....
