Hello every one ,I need your valuable suggestions ,please help me

My self  DURGESH  KUMAR  MISHRA

I did my B.COM(H) from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College in 2006 with 76 % marks,

and I had 84% marks in Final Yr.( and probably was highest in Delhi  University ). Got various Awards and Honors .

Till that time I had no vision of doing CA, I was very passionate about MATHS

And during 2nd year I wrote a thesis on Square Root & Cube Roots.

My wish was to do something unique research in Statics or Economics .

But in those days most of my friends were doing CA ,CS,MBA  and my parents said to me all your friends are doing something , and you have not yet decided what you have to do ?

At last I did PROVISINAL REGISTRATION  in PE-II {in 2006 it was rule that a person who is graduate , shall be exempted from PE-I exam }

Once my graduation exam finished , I started for PE-II, in just 4 month I prepared well ,since most of the topic I have already done in B.Com(H).

I cleared both group , and with 67 % got RANK 50.

But could not get Article ship anywhere in first 2 month, at last I had to join a

Sole proprietorship CA firm ,whereas my all other friends were in good Firms

Some of them in Big 4.

With this I fell into depression ,frustration and became out of touch from Studies.

I worked there for 10 months ,Unfortunately could not gained anything .

At last I took transfer , again after 1 month of search I was in very simple audit firm, bad luck once again.

Now my Final Exam was just 10 month to come ,I was frustrated and wanted to leave CA, but assuming my family responsibility ,I started preparation with half hearted efforts. But with God grace passed in FIRST ATTEMPT in JUNE 09.

A new hope arose ,that I should try for Industrial Training , but as usual could not happen . and still looking 4 something good to happen .

Now I request all of you to suggest some areas where I can work,

Although I am CA , but I have no quality of CA,

I am not updated with DT, IDT,AS,IFRS ,

Although in exam days I had very good command on every area , but due to lack of practical exposure , I am in such a situation that its very hard to escape from it……..

Hi, its surprising to read ur article.....u have cleared in attemp one, means u must be having a sound, intelligent mi nd...inspite of this ur in such dilemma......i read u have great interest in maths then why dont u give a try in capital markets....in cm no tax, accounts or auditing is required .........just technical mind is requires which i think u have in abduance since u have passed ca final without having interest in it(its simply amazing).....and just remeber one thing nobody comes with focus, interest in world...we have to develop it....so u better find one area and develop the interest for same instead of remaining in such a confusion...................

TRY INVESTMENT BANKING, YOU HAVE GOOD MATH ALSO , SO BEST WISHES

TODAY, ERA , YOU SHOULD GO TO THE EXPORT LINE.

I am not an expert to advise u on what uhave asked just read the book CA TO CEO  by Mr V.Pattabiraman and you can explore a plethora of opportunities available to you

Hi, Mr. Mishra,

I hav also cleard my CA Finals in Nov, 2009 in FIRST ATTEMPT as u did. And i also didnt get Industrial Training anywhere. Now i am continuing my so called Articleship training in a small proprietorship firm. Dont get disheartened... Thank God for d success we hav achieved. Our luck have something good in store for us. So just be calm and enjoy............

Do what you want...!!! Dont ask anybody. just do it what's your mind and heart say Bro... Best wishes

There are many more opportunities for CA's in today's world. Even you can practice on your own or you can take up an employment. All this depends on your interest in the area. So, just think over it before going further. And nothing can stop you from jumping from one field to another if you are strong enough to prove yourself.

All the best,

Ramu

And don't degrade yourself after qualifying as CA but not having quality of CA. The life is full of learning. It is not that you have to start after you learnt.

I Think U hav To Go For Coaching or in Faculties in Maths & Stas. To Guide to CA Students & MBA & SO.ON......

Ya Its Struggling But Hav A Bright Future.............

Hi Durgesh Dont mind my words, but through your message it seems that you lack initiative. Sky is the limit for a First Attempt Chartered Accountant. ANd inspite qualifying in JUne 2009 you dont have a job it is quite strange.AMny of my friends who were qualified in june 2009 that too after 5-6 attempts are placed in big mnc's.You need to introspect your initiative.

I apologise mif my words hurts you.

My friend, the achievement what you have done is the dream of many people's ambition in life (Including me)

1. Please get more understanding the value of Chartered Accountants and I see CA's are getting 18 L to 50L as yearly compensation and well settled.   Enjoying heaven life...

2. Read more again in topic which you feel lack of practical exposure.

3. Finding job may not be critical, since you got cleared in Ist attempt.  There are companies are adamant to hire only Ist attempt CA's.

4. Most of Non Practicing CA's are not updated correctly after clearing CA's and they update by way of referring books and consultants.

5. I feel, It is a piece of paper to hold in proof to world that you are CA, but EOD your experience talks.

Good Luck.

And you can select area like.. which positions is not required more update of

1. Sales Operation Analyst  - This is very much boom now in trading corporates.

2. OPEX Analyst  - Required knowledge of how to manage expenses on required places.

3. Customer Analyst

4. Corporate Risk Analyst (In finance point of view)

5. Banking relates

6. Financial strategy Analyst

7. CFO - All your subordinates will take care (just kidding)

8. Dance Master ( I know a CA who selected this profession) sorry, but it's fact.

9. Up to you - what was your ambition at the time studying hard for clearing CA exam.

Dear Durgesh:

My sincere wish is you first try to join some teaching organisation, in which you can teach the B.com, M.Com level students, thereby you will refresh the subjects, and you will gain some confidence. Let some time go, and while in teaching, start doing your own practice, rather than finding a job. Start taking each and every type of work, let it be accounts writing also.

First and last wording.... "DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHERS". This will create depression and depression only and nothing else.

As you start teaching, you will be able to attain the skills of stage daring, how to communicate, how to talk with people. As you are teaching the same subjects, which were in CA, you will be able to gain the confidence.

Last but not least, Meditate and pray for Lord Ganesh, he is the GOD of knowledge, success.

I hope this much is enough for you.......

All the best for your future....

CA SHILPA
