I have query regarding HUF tax calculation. Suppose there is karta X (Age 65) and has the coparcener as well. If I calculate the tax liability of HUF then it will on basis of Male (below the 65 year) slab? And tax liability of X will be calculated on Senior citizen basis? Am I right ? Please help am doing the tax preparation on my own. Thus require help (using singhania's tax book) .
what if the karta is female then huf tax liability will be calculated on femail tax slab?

Male - female or senior citizen differences are to be considered only in case of individual. For HUF there is only one slab i.e. upto Rs. 1.5lakhs no tax and so on.
HUF is not affected whether Karta is more than 65 years old or female.
This differences to be considered in personal return of Karta and not of HUF.
BTW Female can not become karta of HUF
