Question about the HRA.
The employee was out of the country for a few months. Can he still claim the HRA for those months while he was out of country? The company is still paying him the HRA allowance while he is out of country.
He is showing the amount as rent to his parents.
fixed expenses are bound to be incurred even if there's any contingency being occured. Even if you are not staying in the house you are laible to pay the rent. So you can claim teh HRA for those months when u were not in INdia.
